We are currently looking to fill the following vacancies on our Alumnae Board for 2024-2025. Please consider learning more about these open positions and volunteering if it fits well with your schedule. Prior alumnae volunteer work with Delta Zeta is not required.
Seattle Alumnae Panhellenic Co-Delegate
This panhellenic hosts evening meetings on the third Thursday of September, October, January, March, and May. Typically, they meet at various sororities on the University of Washington campus or virtually. The Co-Delegates attend meetings, promote their panhellenic fundraiser and philanthropy initiatives, and recruit other sisters and guests to join them. They may serve as a chair/committee member; take their turn in sorority rotation of officers; and may be a hostess to an in-person meeting. This panhellenic also hosts informal social events for members during the year. This position offers a great opportunity to meet and become friends with other sorority women from a variety of backgrounds and colleges/universities. No previous panhellenic experience is required.
Facebook and Social Media Relations Chair
This chair promotes and posts announcements, events and activities in our region; welcomes newcomers to our Facebook page; monitors postings of all Delta Zeta members to be sure they are appropriate; and performs other duties that pertain to this position while serving on our Alumnae Board.
Overlake - Bellevue Alumnae Panhellenic Alternate
This organization meets the second Thursday morning (10:30 am) in January, March, May and October. Typically, they would meet at homes of members who live east of Seattle and Lake Washington but during the pandemic they have hosted 1-hour zoom meetings. They have established a scholarship program for high school women living on the eastside and heading off to a college or university with a Greek Life community. This position affords a great opportunity to meet and become friends with other sorority women from a variety of life experiences and colleges/universities. Potential candidates should live on the east-side (ie: Bellevue, Medina, Newcastle, Renton, Redmond, Kirkland, Woodinville, Issaquah, Sammamish) and have a flexible schedule to attend meetings and their in-person fundraiser, once things open up. No previous panhellenic experience is required.
Founders Day Chair/Co-Chair and committee members
We are looking for 2024 Founders Day Chair/Co-Chairs & Committee members Typically, we have held our event on the University of Washington-Seattle campus around October 24th. Experienced past Founders Day Committee members are available for assistance and suggestions. Selecting a date/place with Kappa Chapter is the first major step. Being organized and having time-management skills are beneficial.
